With over a decade of experience in trauma and disaster mental health response, Amanda has supported survivors and communities through some of the nation’s most significant crises. Her deployments include responses to hurricanes in the Gulf states, Typhoon Mawar (Guam), the Pulse Nightclub Shooting (Orlando, FL), the Surfside Condo Collapse (Miami, FL), the Tops Supermarket Shooting (Buffalo, NY), the Robb Elementary School Shooting (Uvalde, TX), and the Guadalupe River Flood (Kerr County, TX).

 

Amanda specializes in supporting business executives in high-stress industries, first responders, disaster workers, military personnel, and veterans. Her clinical expertise is rooted in trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions that foster resilience, recovery, and long-term well-being.

 

Amanda is also deeply committed to community service and professional development. Her roles have included:

• Guardian Ad Litem volunteer (2009–2010, 2012–2013)

• Board member and president, Volusia Flagler Coalition for the Homeless (2012–2016)

• Director, Volusia/Flagler Crisis Response Team (2018–2020)

• Disaster Mental Health team member, American Red Cross (2018–2023)

• Mass Casualty and Disaster Support Specialist with Disaster & Victim Services International

• Member of the Florida Crisis Response Team (FCRT/NOVA) and the Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition

Amanda also serves as a preceptor for Physician Assistant students in behavioral health and a field education coordinator for BSW, MSW, and mental health interns from universities including Nova Southeastern, Walden, Bay Path, and Florida State.
